Rabbi Yosef Salamon and his wife Tamar Salamon are representatives of Chabad in Bulgaria which came to help the local Jewish people.
We
came to Bulgaria at January 2001.
We have been send by World Chabad Jewish Organization Center in
New York , for helping and developing Jewish life and programs in Bulgaria
either by giving classes , making prospects at the local language, giving
tefilin , mezuza and other Jewish religion things . Making holidays ,
parties in Sofia and other cities , Shabat meals, library with Jewish
books.
Chabad Jewish organization is working now to develop in the country special line of kosher , helping local factories to be kosher.
The
opening of Chabad Center was at April 2001.
The
open was very nice , many Jewish people from the country and outside came
for this special evening . The president of the community and the guest
from New York came specially to open the new branch of Chabad in the world
- Rabbi Kotlarski.
The contact of Chabad with the Jewish people in Bulgaria start three years ago with the visit of young Rabbis from New York which used to come here in the summer for one month to give the classes , parties for a holidays , visit the communities and give them Jewish religion things.
